PORTFOLIO ASSIGNMENT

Keep a log of ALL of your activities for a 48 hour period.  Pay particular attention to your leisure time. Round off activities to the nearest 30 minutes.  This assignment is worth 15 points and is due in a week.

 

1.          At the end of the 48-hour period, create a bar chart showing how much time was spent in each of the following categories of "activity."   You can use additional categories if you wish.

·         Sleep

·         Personal hygiene (showering, getting dressed)

·         Work

·         School

·         Studying

·         Travel

·         Housework

·         Shopping

·         Watching TV

·         Computer Activities not associated with school or work

·         Active recreation

·         Other leisure activities

Change the color of the chart background, add data labels to bars, and insert a graphic.  Make sure the chart is appropriately titled (i.e., you can understand what it means simply from reading the chart).

2.             Create a 3-D pie chart of the top five activities you engaged in during the day. Add data labels and change the colors of each pie piece to a texture or graphic. Move legend to the bottom of the page and include appropriate titles.

3.            Write a one-page analysis of your results.  What surprised you?  What did you already know?  What would you like to change?
